The procedure shall be us follows:

(a) Measure the amount of angular displacement (wheel rock) on each wheel in degrees or radians.

(b) Place the vehicle on the test equipment and retain it in position with its wheels in line with the ramps.

(c) Load the vehicle in accordance with Appendix A.

(d) Where necessary (for example where there is a hammock-type seat), place a pad of foam beneath the test dummy to prevent it from cutting through the seat during the test.

(e) Position any adjustable backrest or footrest so as to give the most onerous conditions under est, consideration being given to variable seating positions and the possibility of carrying additional children, goods or accessories if permitted in the

manufacturer’s instructions.

(f) Operate the test equipment so that the surface speed is 1 .4 ±0. 1 mIs (approximately 5 km/h) for 64 h.

If a vehicle has reversible handles, test the vehicle for 32 h in each configuration of the handle.
