Units ito 12 (Clauses 3.1 to 312) set out the elements of competency and performance criteria to be completed to achieve the level of occupational SCUBA diver.

Units ito 11 (Clauses 3.1 to 3.11), set out the elements of competency and performance criteria to be achieved to achieve the level of Controlled Waters occupational SCUBA diver.

Unit 9 (Clause 39) specifies practical dive requirements to he completed for both Controlled Waters and full occupational SCUBA

NOTE Endorsement of the Controlled Waters certificate for the underwater deployment unit of competency, as described in Clause 3,9. may be sought after the relevant training dives and bottom time have been completed and assessed. Once all modules have been

successfully completed, an unrestricted occupational certificate may be sought.

Unit 13 (Clause 3.13) comprises elements olconipetency and performance criteria for a diver wishing to undertake SCuBA diving using dry suit equipment and procedures. Unit 13 is not a required component of occupational SCUBA diver training, however, the elements in Clause 3.13 shall be completed by all trainees prior to undertaking working SCUBA dives using dry suit equipment and

procedures.
