1 Pvc is subject to thermal deformation at temperatures of 90’C and above. The use of higher temperature rated insulation material does not necessarily permit a higher current rating. These higher temperature materials are for use as appropriate where cables are subject to elevated external temperatures. For further guidance refer to ASINZS 3008.1.
