2.2.3 Selv edges The selvedges shall he firm and straight. not less than I cm wide and shall contain 12 ends of yarn as used in the cloth, with two ends woven as one.

2.3 COLOUR ANt) FINISH The finished blanket may be unbleached. bleached or dyed. Where a sealed sample is held, comparison with a

test specimen from the delivered fabric shall show a minimum rating of four on the grey scale for assessing change in colour in

accordance with AS 2001.4.1. The finished blanket shall contain no size or filling.

2.4 HEMS The ends of the cellular blanket shall have a hem 2 cm wide, double turned, sewn with corespun or spun polyester with

approximate linear density 45 tex using three to four stitches per centimetre and Type 301 lockstitch as specified in AS 2860.

2.5 MASS The minimum mass of the blanket, after condilioning in the standard atmosphere in accordance with AS 2001.1, shall be as

given in Table 2.1.

2.6 DINIENSIONS After five commercial/institutional launderings carried out in accordance with AS 4146 the dimensions of the

blanket. determined in accordance with the method set out in Appendix 13. shall he not less than the dimensions given in Table 2. I. The width of the tucking strip, after conditioning in a standard atmosphere in accordance with AS 2001.1, shall be as given in Table 2.1.
