3.2 It is recommended that,even afer a scries ofexperiments has been conducted,the experimentsshould be repeated at regular
intervals and when-ever there is a change in ore qualily. The exper-iment should also bc repcated when there arechanges in
equipment or ore supply.
4 Sampling and sample preparationmethods
4.1 Sampling
The reference method (Method A) for checking theblas of sampllng is the stopped-ben method. Themethod to be checked (Method B)
shall be com-pared with Method A using the same material.
EXAMPLE: Mechanical sampling (see lSO 8685)
Method A: Stopped-belt sampling.
Method R- Take earh inrrement frnm the mouingconveyor with a mechanical sampler.
4.2 Sample preparation
Methods for making up a pair of samples, prep-aration of samples and testing shall be as given in 4.2.1 and 4.2.2.
