4.l7 Niessage authentication code (MAC)

A code appended to or included with a message for the purpose of verifying the origin of the message and for verifying that the message content has not been changed.

NOTE: The procedure for generating a MAC is specified in AS 2805.4.1 and AS 2805.4.2.

4.18 Modulo 2 addition

A mathematical operation equivalent to binary addition without carry.

NOTE: Modulo 2 addition’ is represented by the symbol e and is sometimes referred to as an ‘exclusive OR’ operation.

A 64-bit value known as the formatted clear text PIN block and constructed in accordance with the requirements specified in AS 280.5.3.1 and AS 2805.3.2.
